Mortgage Transfer FAQ's

You will receive a welcome letter and email from your servicer if a valid email and mailing address are on file. These will provide you with your due date and payment amount. Make sure you sign up to get future notifications. 

Yes. If you currently pay your mortgage with monthly autodraft from your bank account, those arrangements will carry over automatically. 

It can take up to 10 business days for your loan to be active after the transfer. 

Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing will transfer all data from your prior servicers. You will receive a welcome letter and email from your servicer, if a valid email and mailing address are on file, with more details once your loan has been transferred. 

Payments will be accepted on your transfer date, but payments will not be posted until after your loan is active. 

You will need to pay your payment to your current servicer until your scheduled transfer date. All payments after your transfer date can be made to Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing.

Yes. You will receive a welcome email and packet mailed to you within 10 days after your transfer date. 

Yes. You will receive a new loan number in your welcome packet. 

Yes. You will need to register your new loan number to start your online portal access.

It takes time to fully close your account, reconcile your loan information, and open your account in our computer systems.  

If you pay by check or money order, make payable to Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. Be sure to include your Shellpoint loan number and send to:
